Short and tight for Dance/Hip Hop/Trip Hop etc...

Big and brash for Dub/Reggae (with a bit of slap-back delay feeding back into itself).

Massive verb with tail cut very short for Guitar Rock (that real eighties cheese sound)

Nice and subtle for Folk/Jazz/Blues/Funk

Soooo many different ways.

No real favourite just favoured techniques that are not always adhered to.

A:)

I usually use the IK Classik verb's Room algo. If I need more "splash" I will also grab the IK Plate. Of course this may all change now that I loaded a batch of Lex 960L impulses............

Usually use hardware PCM90 for snare verb, but TL Space with Bricasti IR's are awesome. Also, triggering an ambient snare sample to blend in works great.

I have also used the triggered ambient snare sound to blend with the real snare and it works well. TL Space with some Lexicon sounds as well as the EMT plate.
