Im getting a dull or dead sound to my recordings. On the EQ, how do I correct that?

Re: A Dull sound in Protools SE for VO's
Lots of reasons why a dull/dead sound can occur. High on the list would be your room, mic type/pre, monitoring environment, etc. An EQ can help tame some frequencies, but it certainly isn't a cure-all.

Not knowing your knowledge/experience level, no offense is intended here, but A-is your mic near any hard walls(reflections can ruin the sound in many ways), and B-are you singing into the front of the mic?(seriously, I had a client bring me tracks to polish and he rented a very expensive U47 from Blackbird. Turned out he sang into the back side of the mic)
