Anyone else have problems recording vox with 003???

It will not allow me to record vocals since the distortion is present!!! I did not have this prob with Windows XPSP3 and PT 8.0.3CS2, I have no idea what to do, I have clients and personal projects to complete, I understand I'm not the only one but is this a problem with the driver status most of us are waiting for? or is it something I can resolve, Its similar to the probs you get when you need to authorize a plugin you have the slight distortion increasing in vol every now and then but this current problem stays and it will not allow me to record any signals. Thankss

I'm not sure if I understand your problem.
You are having distortion on the mic inputs of the 003? Not on the line inputs?
With all buffer sizes?

Hard to say as I have been running PT9 with my 003 for 3 months now and have not had this problem. I have recorded thru both the analog inputs, and thru lightpipe with a Presonus D8. Maybe review the system tweaks and trash prefs?

The problem is with the mic inputs and I only had it with 8.0.4 and now with PT9, So im very sure it is not my mic or the 003 mic pres but a hardware/software problem.

Its a very weird distortion like sound, it first starts off as a low white noise sound and it continues to increase, sometimes it goes away and then it comes back and then it disappears again! Right now I have a session open but the distortion problem is not there! This is very random.

The weird thing is that it was only with 8.0.4 and now with PT 9, I installed my 003 on mac and I didnt have the distortion problem but there was a subtle white noise in the background increasin in vol every now and then =S i give up

This is a weird one. All 8 inputs do this? Have you tried another mic?
