I use SA2 sometimes - it's beautiful at gently containing and taming certain frequency areas. I find I don't like to apply it until the final stages of the mix, when most dialogue problems are solved to some degree.

I tried soothe and wasn’t so keen. I found it a bit like the current crop of “AI like” software with sometimes very effective, but often very unpredictable results. I dislike anything like that , hence my Cedar love and dislike of ERA-D
