Default Bounced File Not Playing! Windows 10 PT 9

Hi All-

I'm sure this is user error, but I recorded a song tonight and when I export it to disk I hear the song play, I see it build the file and then I see the file on my hard drive, BUT the file is only 128kb for a 4:30 song with about 10 tracks and it won't play with any player (Windows Media, iTunes, Quicktime, etc).

I haven't recorded a song since upgrading to Windows 10 and now I can't get a file to play outside of PT9.

I did select the region prior to exporting to disk, I do hear the song play as it is bouncing and I have tried numerous export formats.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,
Tim

Pro Tools 9 is not supported on Windows 10 and you will run into known problems. You have to check this stuff out carefully before deciding to upgrade.

I am not sure about this specific problem but you ought to get back to your previous config (hope you have a backup) or uninstall Pro Tools 9 and upgrade to Pro Tools 12. However, because of stability issues affecting many users with 12.5.x.... I would currently not upgrade anything and go back to where you were before.

Thanks for the quick reply! I transferred the files to an older computer with Windows 7 and it worked fine.
