Re: Awesome
I'm really liking the whole modular concept and approach of the S6. It definitely opens the doors to some new possibilities.

Re: Awesome
My prediction is that these are going to be well received in the secter they are marketed to.

Re: Awesome
The modular design is wise and long overdue. Without question these will offer a more connected feel than the Icons which can seem a bit cold and detached (yeah yeah, I know, they're just consoles, but this factor actually matters to many of us who use them all day every day). Someone pointed out that the larger format demands $10,000 just for the metal legs. It would seem that Avid is continuing their awkward and optimistic price structuring.

Re: Awesome
I'm going to wonder how long it'll take plugin manufacturers to optimize plugin mapping for 5 knobs, 9 knobs etc.
But... no panners? Sadly a dead-breaker for me. I've been looking forward to this console for almost 3 years ever since I heard about the creation of it, but never had expected that panners would not be included. |

Re: Awesome
The frame is included in the price (except the legs stand) there's a network switch fitted into the system that interconnects all the module together, and are controlled by either the M10 or M40 brain. The producer's desk is an option and costs more.
