RIP, Taylor Louise Bassett

Hello friends. Many of you probably remember Scoobster; a great guy who used to frequent the DUC quite a bit. Many of you are aware his little girl was very ill. I had talked to Scoob 2 months ago, and things seemed to be going well with his family, and we were all very happy about the situations progression.

Yesterday, I received this email from Scoob, and was asked to pass it on to all his friends here:


We lost Taylor on 21st October 2004.

She was an absolute champion, and I miss her terribly. We had just had an MRI a couple of weeks ago that showed that there was no tumor and she had been making awesome progress. On thursday morning she was complaining of not feeling well so we took her to the local childrens hospital just as precaution. However that afternoon Taylor took a turn for the worse and was unable to fight off a chest infection that had severely compromised her immune system.

Oh My, this is just terrible news. Please pass my deepest sympathies on...I am deeply saddened...I love children, I am sure thou, Heaven is a now bit brighter. I will pray to my daughter tonight, that she seek her out and show her around the place.

If you see this, please know that my heart goes out to you, Bronwyn, and Meghan. Ben had told me the news yesterday, and my heart sunk. It has been obvious even at this distance to see that you've been a stellar father throughout Taylor's life...alway positive and full of hope. You have my utmost respect for that.
