ERXP - System ID ???

Sorry for asking

What is the system id part of the installer for?
In my understanding you can install the Pro Tools part many times, on any computer. Right?

I guess the serialnr. is for the ERXP itself. One time only installer (need to be online). Right?

I'm a long way from home ATM, aching to get back to my 11R's to get the upgrade installed.
