PT12 Midi Beat Clock Sync Issues MOX6/MOX8
I am slaving my Yamaha MOX8 from PT12 Using Midi Beat Clock all (5) ports are enabled. The MOX8 Sequencer CTRL is enabled as "In".
The PT Audio Tracks Print fine to lock to Grid as expected and look fine in PT and playback in sync. However, I have 120 BPM in PT, but the MOX8 Clock BPM randomly changes with each playback. for example PT BPM is static at 120. I hit space bar to start MOX SEQ for 4 bars or more, then hit space bar to stop the MOX and the Tempo on the MOX reads 120.5. Hit PT Space Bar to Start the MOX SEQ again hit the space bar to stop and the MOX reads 121.7, and this randomization persists with no logical pattern that I see on several iterations. My issue is that I sequence in the MOX as it is quick, however if I am sequencing using the internal clock on the MOX it is misleading as 120 BPM on the MOX doesn't equate to 120 in PT and Vice Versus. Just wondering is this typical. I can simply adjust the MOX to the PT Tempo for the work that I am recording in PT. Never paid attention before. |
