Weird issue when consolidating
I have a 003 rack and I'm running PT 7.4 on a PowerMac G4 running OS X 10.4.11.
I was assembling a radio program with multiple segments, a voice over and music all on separate tracks. I edited the VO track, deleted some stuff and moved some things around and then consolidated the VO track. When I consolidated, some strange stuff happened with one of my segment tracks. I believe right around the point where the VO came in, there was a pop on one of the segments and some of the deleted audio from the VO track was inserted into the segment track. Any ideas on what might be going on here? Any suggestions as to how I could remedy this? Would a reinstall of Pro Tools help? |

Re: Weird issue when consolidating
I had the same issue in 7.4. It has to do with the consolidate function not writing small crossfades for some reason. Unfortunately the only workaround is bus the audio to a new track instead of consolidate. I havent tested this in 8 yet but it may be fixed now.

Re: Weird issue when consolidating
It is strange indeed, I have never see this problem. Just tested under pt8 and everything work as it should with consolidating.
May trashing prefs and databases cure the problem. Tamas Dragon
