Fast Track Pro/Audio Technica AT2020

I'm using Fast Track Pro, Windows 7. I am not getting any sound from my AT2020. My dynamic mic works fine. The only thing I could find on-line for this issue is phantom power. I have checked and that is on.

Now I'm using a cable with XLR on one end and 1/4 inch on the other. Could this be an issue/ Do both ends need to be XLR?

Yes, definitely that's your problem.
Phantom power is only fed to the mic with a xlr connection.
You'll have to get a xlr-to-xlr cable.
