MBox Pro (3rd gen) turning off mid son

I cannot get through recording one stinking song without this MBox turning off. It still records, and keeps rolling, but the playback sound is gone.

Ive read through all the forum threads about it, and tried the BIOS recommendations, etc., to no avail.

Any thoughts? I'm using a recommended Avid system.

Post your sandra report please and make sure you have done all the windows optimizations.

It was the windows optimizations that had to be done. In msconfig, turn on Selective Startup, then hide windows startups, then disable all except avid, maudio and Pace, and restart. That keeps things from interfering with the mbox while recording. Everything works like a charm now. Sheepish grin.
