Default External HDD for Pro Tools LE

Hey there

I'm in desperate need of a good Pro Tools Audio Drive. My 5400RPM one is giving me the [bleep]
Doesn't really have to be over 200GB.

Something that is value for money & is a proven worker for Pro Tools.
Also can you please list a few. As someone told me once to get a Drive that was only in America and could only be purchased online. Which is no use to me
Also i dont want anything massive as I cart my Pro Tools around with me alot. Im a laptop user

I'm located in London

- Cheers

Just get an ide or sata hd external into an enclosure by usb or firewire to the laptop, I did it like that until I change my laptop.

USB is not supported or recommended for protools and is likely to NOT work well. Your audio drive should be a 7200 rpm drive. The OWC Mercury drive cases with firewire are a great choice.

I have a Lacie d2 quadra...it has been perfect. I was running on my 5400rpm hard drive until I could get an external and had that stupid cpu error message at least 3 or 4 times a day. I got the Lacie about 4 months ago, and haven't gotten that error message since. Lacie also gives you a lot of options as far as connection goes (you can do firewire, usb...etc.). It is a little heavy (still portable..but not as much as maybe other externals would be)..but very durable. I would recommend it.
