Default Mbox Pro 3 and Mountain Lion

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion after Pro Tools 10.3 came out. But now my mBox pro 3 is not being acknolwedged by my computer at all. Is the Mbox Pro 3 compatible with Mountain Lion? Are new drivers coming from Avid? Help!

Interesting, I have Pro Tools 10.2 and Mt Lion working pretty well but Avid states this about PT 10.3

*Mac OS X 10.8 support for Nehalem (4,1) and higher Mac Pro computers
(I have a 2008 Xeon Mac Pro so I guess I am not supported....

Pro Tools non-HD device drivers are not officially supported with Mountain Lion.

To install the existing drivers on Mountain Lion OS see the following KnowledgeBase article....

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...10-3-Downloads

What happens when you just launch the MBox pros mixer app? do you see that it is connected. In the lower left hand corner in green it should say connected.
If the MBox pro mixer does not see it connected then it also will not be connected to pro tools.

I guess I will wait to update to 10.3 until I read more.

I would revert back to 10.2 by unistalling Pro Tools 10.3 and reinstalling 10.2
that may get you back up and running, but again I have PT 10.2 and MT Lion running fine on my mac pro with Mbox Pro. Driver version 1.0.16
Make sure you have the most current driver and firmware installed. The latest firmware really improved my Mboxs performance with Pro Tools.

I just want to make sure I understand, lancemcv: You are using OS 10.8, Pro Tools 10.2, and an MBOX Pro 3, and all is well?

(I'm away from my rig for a couple days, so will have to check out the MBOX mixer tomorrow evening, see if it shows a connection.)

I contacted AVID, and they verified that the MBox Pro 3 is not qualified for 10.8 yet, but new drivers are coming. No release date yet, but it is a priority.

I wish I knew whether that meant a week or a year.
