A good function of protools 8 with Venue
I have found a new function of Protools 8 ,which is quite good for VENUE.
If you are recoding a concert,or show from venue to protools, and video from cameras with the same T.O.D,you can easily export the video to avid edit system, and audio to post protools system. After the video has been edit, you can export a AAF file to protools, then right click the trcak name ,there is a option"expand tracks by ...",you can choose by "time code",then all the audio track you recording from Venue will be cut as well as what video edited, including crossfade. And if you want to pre-mix before video edit,it's also ok. I Think it's quite useful with concert production or tv production, etc. |

Re: A good function of protools 8 with Venue
Hi,
I'm glad you like this. It was added to a Pro Tools 7.4 CS release last summer, specifically to address the VENUE / Avid workflow you mention. Sheldon |
