What type of Plugin is it

How can I find out what type of Plugin i'm using AAX or Vst ect.Where in PT's 10 does it tell me...Thanks

There is no VST in Pro Tools.
If you pop open the plugin you can see if it is AAX or AAX-DSP just under the "Bypass" button inside the open plugin. (also true for RTAS if since PT 10 is the overlap version)

are you using HD 10?

There is no VST in any version of pro tools whatsoever.

In PT 10 you can use rtas and 32 bit AAX.

I believe that was the last version that could also use TDM DSP with PT HD.

So if you are using HD hardware with DSP it's either native rtas, aax or DSP.

If you are using core audio or HD Native then it is either rtas or aax 32.

Rtas has been completely eliminated as of PT11 and upward, the only formats now are either AAX native 64 bit, or AAX dsp.

Does make it easier.. just one format for all, and either dsp or not.
