Default Relinking missing files, switch to manual?

Hi -

You know when pro tools can't find some files upon opening a session, it asks whether to find files automatically or manually? Well, usually I will select "automatically" , but in cases when its taking too long or doesn't seem to be working out, I always just restart the session so I can select "manually". After years of doing it this way, I'm wondering if there is a way to cancel the automatic search and switch to a manual search without restarting the session? I can't remember what happens exactly, but I've tried to do this in the task manger window before but couldn't figure it out...anyone know?

thanks!
