Default Windows 10 1709 Compatibility?

Good morning all.
I have a Focusrite 18i20 2nd gen that I've been using on Windows 10 1607 and 1703 for a while. It's always been poppy and clicky but I've worked around it and it's never affected the recorded track. Yesterday I upgraded to 1709 and it took a dive. So wondering if anyone is running Win10 1709 with an audio interface that is working well? Been looking into getting the Presonus Studio 192 but they only show support for 1607. I feel MS is going to release a new update every 4-6 months so looking for a company that is keeping up.

I hear RME is good with keeping up, but ouch on those prices.

Thanks.

I'm running the latest (whatever is on the insider preview ring currently) using an old Project Mix IO that hasnt had driver updates since Windows 7 without issue. I doubt it is an interface driver problem.

I recently started getting clicks and pops, and though using LatencyMon was able to narrow it down to the USB 1.0 ports on my MB (rather the MS drivers for those). Disabling them and only using my USB 3.0 ports has cleared up my problems.

Thanks for responding. My motherboard only has USB 3.0 so I’ve tried all those. I read that the Scarlett 18i20 works best on USB 2.0 ports and I’ve struggled through for now but what I’m hearing now is pretty bad. I’m going to try the PreSonus Studio 192 since it’s 3.0 and hope for the best. Should be here on Friday.
