Default Dock iPad compatibility

Dear Avid,

Are the first iPad generations compatible with PT Dock?

Or is it only from iPad Air and up?

(I have an Ipad first gen, which I would like to use for the Dock..)

Hi JanuS - specifications suggest that iOS 8 is required, so that would rule out very early iPads ... which is a shame as I have an 'iPad Classic' (i.e. V1) which could otherwise be put to good use in this way :)

Thank you Righty27, and to answer my own question, I should have looked at the system requirements on the new Avid Dock page... It says:

iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro (9.7-inch), iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4
* Please note that iPad Pro (12.9-inch) is not currently supported

One question I have is which of the above fit the Dock the best and line up the graphics with the Dock the best?

In other words, if you are buying a new iPad which is the best fit?

Andy

... although looks like these require a right-angle Lightning cable (see other thread) :)
