Macro Question
I've been trying to figure out how to create 2 separate macros one that can Copy the Current Time code position and the 2nd paste the copied positon.
When I was using quick keys it was a pretty simple process! Now for the life of me I've been trying all kinds of combinations in eucontrol and none seem to work. In protools it's simply the following combo: Equals key ( on the numeric keyboard) = Capture time code command Command C ( copy) Escape This copies the current TC Location Pasting it back in is : Equals key ( on the numeric keyboard) = Capture time code command Command V (paste) Enter. I do this constantly to keep track of my last Location as I move around the time line. It'll also stay in the buffer regardless of copying and pasting automation or clips from other areas in the timeline. So if any of you genius macro users can figure it out would love to hear back from you. Also updated to 2022.12.1 and so far so good snapshot naming is back! Stability of the app doesn't quit anymore. Haven't looked at memory banks yet on the iPad as I tend to simply just click them in protools. Seems like key commands are now working again but I can't say for sure since whatever I'm trying to program doesn't do what I expect. Cheers

Re: Macro Question
Try using the * key instead of =
The issue with making this a Eucon command is that you cannot apply a modifier key for only one particular key stroke. The modifier applies to all key commands. Therefore, if you program in \p*\ac with the Cmd modifier, it will apply to all keystrokes and not just the C for "copy" command. For some reason the numpad = is not triggering the TC window selection but numpad * does. You could try this as seen in the pic. Play around with the initial delay times for each command to your liking. Last edited by its2loud; 03-15-2023 at 11:17 AM. |

Re: Macro Question
You Da MAN! It works. Glitches out periodically but it works. I'm wondering if I need to add a brief pause in there. If I recall correctly I had to do that with Quickeys.
Thank you!!

Re: Macro Question
Glad it works. Like I said, play around with initial delays for each line of command. See the pic for one example of initial delay. Adding pauses after each command might as well. You’d just have to experiment.
