Default AAE Error 35 in PT 12.7HD

I have just upgraded my system to include PT12HD. I am also running PT10.10HD with HD2 cards. Both applications open and all sessions run in PT10 without issue. I am still working mainly on PT10HD until I make the transition to newer cards (doing it in steps because it costs SO much!). Anyhow I can't run any sessions in PT12 when I have any audio because I get the error AAE35. I can run just pics with no audio but as soon as I add audio it won't run. As I said the same sessions run fine in PT10. I have a system SSD drive in bay1 and Projects, Pic media and FX in the other three bays (regular SATA drives). I cannot find any solution to this error anywhere. All disks have permissions to read and write etc. I am running on Mountain Lion. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Harry,
First thing is 12.7 HD doesn't support Mountain Lion, it's Mavericks minimum. This may not be the cause of the problem (don't know that AAE error, never seen it) but...

Good luck,
Pete

Two possibilities: file names are either corrupted or have illegal characters and the second is a drive may be going bad. Have had both happen in PT11; don't have PT12.

Will PT12HD run with/use those H2 cards?

It runs but it doesn't recognise the cards, I knew that to be the case

I just got the same error message and then found recently imported files that contained "(" in the name. Deleted those files and everything worked ok.
