Default Eleven Rack - couple of questions

I have just purchased an Eleven Rack and i have a horrible feeling Ive bought the wrong thing!

Having looked on you tube and read various forums i thought i could you the eleven rack to process ( and therefore alter) prerecorded guitar tracks, with the processing being done within the rack its self freeing up my Macbook processing.

i had the idea that i could do amp modeling similar to UAD amp room plugin within an Apollo

I am using studio one as my daw and dont want to use the rack as a audio interface i want to simply be able to re - model guitar sounds ...... i though i could use the 11R as a hardware equivalent of TH2 from overload.

Have i missed the point?

Have a growing sense that it might be going back to the shop!

Any assistance you can give most welcome

Jim

You can re-amp, but it's not a plug-in like TH2. You have to send the audio OUT of your DAW and into the Eleven Rack, then back into your DAW - just like you would if you were Re-Amping with a real amp and mic.

If you are not using the Eleven Rack as an interface so you can send audio through the USB cable into the Eleven Rack, you would need to physically patch a cable from what ever interface you are using into the Eleven Rack and back out.

ok really helpful ......
in terms of re-amping

do i create a send on the DAW or simply cable from out 11R put into audio interface and then create new track with new input and record?

At least i don't need to send it back!!
