Default Has PT made us all nerds?

You know, I think back to my days of the good ole' Tascam fourtrack and how simple it all was. Yes, it was only four tracks with like 700 bounces. ha. I now find myself on this DUC quite often talking about IRQ's, Mother Boards (or MOBO if your cool), and PCI slots. I can reinstall an operating system and tweak the BIO's in no time. Don't get me wrong, I love PT and will never go back, but have I officially become a PT tech nerd? If someone wanted to discuss IRQ's and PCI bus steering before PT, I would have said, "what in the **** are you talking about" ha. Just a little thought for all of us. Happy Tweaking, uhhhh, I mean recording.

Lately, when I get into a conversation with almost anybody, I end up asking them something about their computer, or just their email address. And if, Lord forbid, they say something like, "Oh, I'm not much into computers...", then I have nothing more to say to that person.....

now I just need some white tape for the bridge of my glasses, and I'll be set...

Thankfully I was a nerd long before PTLE even existed! I was like this already! PTLE hasn't changed me a bit except to give me killer recording abilities!

Where have you guys been?

Nerds don't tape their glasses any more, they get Lazic.

Nerds don't use pocket protectors any more, pocket protectors are for pens, and pens are for paper, and real nerds don't use -paper-.

Take it from a real nerd (Computer Scientist) it takes a lot more than knowledge of your basic HD configs to be a nerd.

You "nerds" probably don't even have tickets to Star Wars II yet, do you? Call your selves nerds!!, your just posers. I had my SWII passes on Monday when they went on sell.

I bet you don’t know what the name of the next ST movie will be.

When is the last time one of you told a PUN? ….ok..so when is the last time you told one and then laughed at it yourself?

Wannabe Nerds!

[If you didn’t find this post humorous, or you didn’t realize that it was meant that way, then you defiantly are not a nerd.]

[[ The Wannabe Nerds, good name for a band?]]
