that's weird. i had a session last night for the first time after the driver update, and the headphone issue seems to be gone for me.

i have a different problem now though. when i tried to use the Mbox 3 Pro in low latency monitoring mode, the hardware input doesn't get to the Master buss in the Mbox Pro software. the Hardware Inputs meters move and the software returns get to the Master buss i can monitor that, but not the hardware inputs.

after trying different things i found out this problem goes away as soon as i record a little bit of audio.

After getting my first pro replaced for these problems a few months ago, I thought my new unit was all good. 3-4 months later and I'm getting bursts of white noise through both monitors and headphone outs. Upon applying the driver update, my mbox is no longer visible at all in my output devices. At all. Completely gone.

I just do not understand how this can still be an unresolved issue? Seriously?!

I wish I'd read this thread before I purchased my Mbox 3.

I've got a similar headphone problem: one input works, the other does not.

That, and the fact that I keep getting a "controller personality" error message when using the Mbox with my Pro Tools LE version 8.5 (but not with version 8.3).

Is this my wake-up call to abandon more than a decade of loyalty to Avid?

>> FIX <<

open the box and there is a data cable with a black metal square of about 2 inches on it that easily detaches, attach it properly and everything should work fine

I've got the same problems happening with the most current versions of protools and drivers.

Was this fixed? I skimmed through the thread and this seems like the above quote is the last post from Digi. Why is that? When you say you're working on a fix for a pretty major problem, I think it's pretty uncool not to come back with an update!

What's the status of this bug?

Chris

Mine has all the above problems too. Headphone outputs working 50% of the time, and when I turn the unit on and off, it only occasionally fixes it. My 002 was rock solid in comparison. Bumming me out.
