I encourage artists to track vocals with in ear monitors if they have them, for good isolation and minimal bleed. One of mine was tracking and all the sudden got a massive blast of noise from 8.03 and was screaming at me from in the big room where we were capturing vocals. Needless to say it ruined the session. Not going back to 8.03.

Send the artist in for a hearing checkup and send the bill to Avid Audio. They are liable for any damage.

8.0.3 needs to be pulled from the site ASAFP!!!

This is and has been happening to experienced veterans. I strongly suggest to the new people here to go back to XP 8.0.1cs1 and do it now.

has anyone had the burst on a windows 7 x64 system? I had the burst when I ran 8.0.3 on an my xp system but none with win 7 x64 system. I'm about 2 weeks or so into it average 2 hours per day.

None the less, WHAT SAY YOU, AVID?

Yes, I had it early on, before I had the system optimized and the hardware updated. But right now I will play on the side of safety with client’s ears at stake.
