Just in case, there's already a screenshot in this thread (although not exactly what you would want ) but if you can't see it you need to go into your user CP -> Edit options -> thread display option and check the box show images.

In this case, your context of "fat" is being used in a term indicating the large sound you are initiating with the meters. "Phat" would indicate that "Man, thats awesome" [for the hip hippys =oD ]

With that said.... you're explaination of this method seems a bit dry, is there a way you could show a screen shot of peripherals?
If anyone wants to see this, I made a video about it awhile back:

Hey, Just a note keep in mind this will use extra resources when you have fat meters. Just like using the meters view in the sends.

Hey guys, as my first post to the forums, I want to say thanks for a great tip! I love the fat meters, and it works in PT11 as well.

Simply use the CLAW (hold all 3 buttons left of the space bar) and click any meter in the mixer window and BOOM they fill the whole channel!

Love it, so much easier to use!
Never new about this little easter egg! Thanks!

Default Don't forget peak display readouts

The wide meters are great, but I'm more fond of the optional PEAK display under the faders while recording. Usually the number under the fader is a readout of the fader level (VOL), but hold CMD (Apple) and click on VOL, it will change to PK, and display how much headroom you have left. CMD-OPT click to change all of the displays to peak, and then to delay, and then back to volume (fader level).
