Have always gone with the Pro versions of Windows. I think you're more in control of background updates in Win 10 Pro.

There is a difference in max RAM, but probably not something anyone will come up against for a while yet:

Win 10 Home: 128GB RAM max

Win 10 Pro: 2048GB RAM max, allows you to defer updates to a later date, allows the Current Branch for Business which would allow additional time for update testing. And other things not likely relevant here.

The day will come, probably sooner then later. Remember, "640k ought to be enough for anybody."

From Win 8 and up, Home will do 128GB of ram. Win 7 is where it is limited to 16.

The only differences in 10 home and Pro have to do with security/encryption abilities and and networking abilities for Domains and Active directory abilities which is for corporate-business environments. Pro will do 2048GB of ram.

IMHO - if it will be for professional work.

You should only get an LTSB if you want a Windows 10 Box that has controllable tracking/updates and will only received necessary updates that won't get in the way of your work.

They aren't all that controllable in pro. My ONLY problem using home has been from a security update I would have also gotten with pro and it just required reinstalling my Paragon Mac disk driver. I honestly think this is all much ado about nothing.

Because I do professional work, I keep a second system drive running windows 8.1 but it always feels like a giant step backwards and windows 7 was even slower and buggier which was why I made windows 8 my main work system before 10 came out.

Sounds nice, now go get a license for it.....

You must be a volume license owner for enterprise to use ltsb. The minimum volume licensing for Enterprise is something like 500 licenses. So let us know how well it works!! ;-)

Running Win 10 Pro with a co-install of 10.3.10 and 12.5.2, no issues, nada, zip, zilch! I even have a UAD 1 card installed that works perfectly in 10.3.10, would not work at all in the same machine running Win 7. I'm sold.
