Default Get more then 1-4 Mackie MIDI Ports on OS X?

Hi so this is driving me mad! On OS X I am only able to see Mackie Control MIDI Ports 1-4 inside of Ableton. The Audio and MIDI device control panel only shows 1 Euphonix device with ONLY ports 1-4. I have 2X Artist Mix and 1X MC Transport.

How many MIDI ports can you see using Mackie control on Mac?

I have a similar thread here explaining this in greater detail. Sorry for the double post but I think this problem is not with Ableton but in relation to the Eucon software and OS X.

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Same here with different Macs (iMac, MacBook pro, MacMini) with different Versions of OSX (10.6 - 10.10). I never get more than those 4 Ports. Also a Mini-PC with Win8.1 (32bit) and older EuControl has the same issue, not only Mac.

I think this is a problem within the Avid Installer, that never was solved. I tried different suggestions you can find in several threads. No way (and no help from Avid )

Thanks for the reply Loony, yeah total bummer. I can get 16 channels going on one Artist Mix but the other is just sitting there lonely. Its still not clear to me if thats the way to use more then one Eucontrol device. It seems to be confusing...

When I add MIDI port 2 the other controller works but it mirrors the Artist Mix units..... I would assume that I would want 1-4 & 5-8 to get two Artist Mix units working with Mackie Control??? However the Mc Transport (total 3 devices) works using the soft keys (jog/shuttle don't). AHHH? Anyone have any way around this? Ableton was fantastic with the MC Control before it broken!
