Default Pro Tools 12.6 continual 9173 & 6101 errors - Mac Pro & El Capitan

I am getting continual 9173 & 6101 errors

AA -9173 error:
I open up an existing session in Pro Tools and when I press play I just get the 9173 error message.

I have tried (1) restarting Pro Tools, (2) re-booting the Mac Pro and re-starting Pro Tools (3) Rebooting, restarting Pro Tools and opening the session up with no plug ins loaded, None work and I find that it can take 4-5 attempts at rebooting/restarting Pro Tools before I eventually can work with the files.

Changing the hardware buffer size has no impact.

Once I do manage to get the session to play, I can then work in Pro Tools as normal except for the error message below:

6101 error message:
Once I do manage to work with the file I get the 6101 message every few attempts. I press PLAY and the track starts to play. It thens stops and throws up the 6101 message. I press okay to clear the message and then PLAY resumes.

I have tried changing the hardware buffer size up and down, and the issue still occurs.

Cracking up of sound error:
Once in a while, when I press PLAY, the sound comes out crackled and extremely distorted and the only way I can correct this ti to change the hardware buffer size.

Other notes:
I am using very few native plug ins running on the Mac host. I am primarily using UAD plug-ins when mixing and I am running 2 x UAD2 Duo cards, 1 x UAD2-Octo cards and 2 x UAD Apollo Quad. I therefore don't understand why I am being told to remove native plug ins.

not much system info: what kind of Drives are you using, are all your Plugins Definitely up to date, are all your UAD drivers up to date ??

Runing a Mac Pro 2010 8 core 2.Ghz, with 20Gb RAM.

Pro Tools running on internal 256Gb SSD drive, along with core OS - 70GB free on drive. Session files running on separate internal 500Gb SSD drive - 250GB free on drive.

All plug-ins and UAD drivers up to date (v9.0.1 drivers). Aside from UAD plug ins on the track, only plug-ins used on Avid's own and there are only 2 of these instances.

Before making the shift to Sierra on my main machine, I was getting these errors occasionally. I'd always just ignore them, close the window and move on. They didn't really bother me that much, didn't slow down my workflow, and weren't frequent enough to be annoying.

Since running Sierra over the last three days, I haven't had any errors. As of yet.

Unfortunately I can't move to Sierra, as the UAD drivers are not available until some time in the new year.

Anyway, the 9173 error appears to be cured - I uninstalled Pro Tools Cloud Services and App Manager and, bingo, no more 9173 error. Thought it might have been something to do with wi-fi being on, but since uninstalling cloud services and app manager, I can ru Pro Tools with wife on and no9173 issues.

6101 error still occurs, though far less frequently.
