I just had this problem today after installing Waves 7.1.
It didn't uninstall Waves 6.0.7 when it installed 7.1. I simply moved all WaveShell 6.0.x files to an unused folder. You can find those in --Applications>Waves>Waveshells> As well as the old WavesLib.framework file found in ---Applications>Waves>Waves Plug-Ins Everything's working great now. Good luck.
