Use Scarlett 8i6 as a S/PDIF slave with Eleven Rack?

Hi guys,

I am attempting to setup my Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 as a slave through S/PDIF.

I am using Pro Tools 12.4 as my DAW and the 11R as my interface. I have two S/PDIF cables connected from the 8i6 to the 11R. The 8i6 clock source is set to internal, and the source in Pro Tools is set to S/PDIF. So I should be getting a signal when using the digital input (input 7) as the input source in Pro Tools, right? I am not getting a signal at all.

Am i missing something, or is this just not possible?

If you're slaving the 8i6 then you must set it to an external clock source.
