Broken screw in Avid Mini-DigiLink Cable Connector
Extract a broken screw from an Avid Mini-DigiLink Cable Connector
Anyone have a situation like this? Made the mistake of not having the cable fastened for strain relief and an accident happened. The connector and fastening screws were ripped out of the back of an Avid 16 I/O. The machine still works although the housing of the connecter is gone. Replacement cable is on its way. One problem is the fastener screws were broken. I got one out, but can't budge the other. The pic below says it all. Look at the left connector of the PRIMARY PORT. Anyone have any success or solution for getting this screw out? I'm thinking that I can unscrew the entire connecting post and deal with it at bench or find a replacement without having to take the box out the rack and open it up. |
