Issue with Reason
Hi All, A little off-topic, but it does tie-in since I'm using an PT LE 6.4 on an 001 with Windows XP. I've been using Reason 2.5 with Pro Tools for almost a year now with no problems and suddenly today when I try to load it up (both while using PT and on its own) it's asking me to Please Insert Orkester Sound Bank CD, which I don't have any more. I've heard rumors that you can create your own Sound Bank CD simply by burning the Sound Bank .rfl file on to a disk, naming it Orkester and popping that in when prompted. But I tried burning it (using Nero) and that hasn't worked. So my questions are: 1) How do I fix this and 2) Why is it happening in the first place? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated since I'm supposed to do a session tomorrow. Thanks. P.S. If you can create your own disc, do you put the Orkester .rfl file or the Sound Bank file on it (I've tried both)? |

Re: Issue with Reason
This is Reason's software pirating protection scheme. Discussing how to circumvent it here would be a violation of this forum's terms of use.
Why don't you have the Orkester disk anymore? If you sold it, you made a mistake; I'm almost positive that it the orkester disk is required to be a legal owner of the software. If you lost it, you will need to check with Propellerhead and see if you can get a replacement. They should have you on record as being a registered owner.

Re: Issue with Reason
Fair enough. I don't want to violate any terms of this forum. A friend of mine installed Reason, using the official disks, on my computer and I don't want to bug him about this unless I have to. It wasn't pirated or burned or downloaded or anything else. So could someone at least tell me what could cause this problem in the first place since it has been working fine for the last year or so and only just started acting up like this yesterday? Feel free to e-mail me privately with any other relevant info as well. Thanks. Thanks. [email protected] |
