Default Waves RenEQ/Comp vs. Q10/C1

I can't tell on the waves site if the Renaissance line is "better" than the Q10/C1 stuff, or just different or what. I've got the Native Power Pack (Q10/C1/SuperTap/TrueVerb/L1) and am just wondering if the RenXXX stuff in the Musician's Pack(s) are better at what they do, worse, or just different (and if so, how?)

hello:

the REN collection of waves is sopuse to recreate the vintage sounnd cahrecter with high tech interface and good defenition , in difference to the native collection plugs like the Q10 c1 etc...they are there to do the job done with no "ho's and ha's "some say that they are heavier on cpu then the renmaxx....for me the differance is: more charecter to the REN stuff , its parcticlly all i use

Default Re: Waves RenEQ/Comp vs. Q10/C1

I'll give it to you as I was informed from a Certified Waves instructor. The "Ren" is supposed to immulate in an analog style and give you more warmth and character and the "Q" and the like are more precise and surgical in manipulating audio waveforms and incidentally more digital in their performance. I use Ren most of the time and the "Q" eq's and the like when I feel like I need to get in real close to what I want to change. I love using both for the same reasons. They both perform well and sound good at what they do. Just my 2 cents worth.
