Default Is it possible to combine key commands.

I want to be able to seperate and mute regions or clips in one command.
Currently I highlight seperate then mute.
Can this be done as a single command

There is a program called Quick Keys that wil likely do this for you.

There are folks on here using it to generate a number of commands with one or two key presses.

+1 on Quick Keys

System Requirements say not Lion or Mountain Lion compatible, but I (and many others) are using it without any issues.

Is it something that is a worthwhile investment.

P,B,S,

the investment point of view makes me go hmmm. I have 2 licenses of QuicKeys but haven't used it during the past 2 years I guess.
QuicKeys hasn't been updated in ages. It is not Lion compatible, let alone Mountain Lion compato. Its a shame because it was a great app.

I know a lot of users make it work for whatever their purpose in conjunction with PT is and its not completely broken with Lion and Mountain Lion, I however have stopped using QK.

I have switched over to AppleScript a long time ago and am looking into other QuicKeys-kinda apps like Keyboard Maestro which I personally like very much so far for things I cannot achieve with AS.

But to answer the initial question: Yes, combining certain shortcuts is possible, not within PT though but with external tools or scripting languages.

I use it all the time. One thing I really like is that I can trigger key commands via MIDI. I use a Novation Zero SLMkII, and I can fire multiple commands with the push of a button.

If you haven't heard about this, here's why.
