Default AVID should advise Download SIZE in all advice

I'm on regional ADSL in Australia. At BEST I get a max 3.5MBps download speed (~ 350K BYTES /sec).

I NEED to estimate how long downloads will take before commencing so it doesn't stuff up other network priorities, ADSL Plan peak/offpeak limits, or require the computer being left on overnight.

AVID should provide this info in the FEED info of the App Manager for EVERY ITEM, and in Release Info documents.

Does anyone know whether the App Mgr controls downloads like a torrent, i.e. resumes a download rather than starting afresh??

If you have these issues, download from the Avid website (my.avid.com) instead of through the App Manager. You can see file sizes there.

Sounds great - thanks for the advice. I went there, and ... what a jungle!!
The first panel shows the following, although nothing was obvious.
My Products
-My Products and Subscriptions
-Manage My Avid Cloud
-Cancelled Subscriptions
-Add Missing System ID to Account
-Products Not Yet Downloaded
-Avid Software Activation and Download
-Access the Artist Community
and
My Support Center
-Search the Knowledge Base
-Avid Advantage support plans
-Contact Technical Support by Phone
-Use your ASC
-Replace broken, lost, or stolen Dongle/iLok
-Access the Support Center (Portal)

In "My Products"
-My Products and Subscriptions ...
I opened up each drop-down heading.
The BOTTOM one ....
"Pro Tools | Software with 12-Month Upgrade and Support Plan - Student/Teacher (Card and iLok" revealed more info, with more DROP-DOWNs ...
The info you advise was under "Product Details and Download Links" [Show]

So FANTASTIC and THANK YOU.

AVID should use Noobs/Occasionals like me to help them turn ProTools and Support into a more usable and intuitive products.

...and use a download manager extension for your browser that allow you to pause and resume as many times as you want.
