Default Isolated Faders View?

Let's say that I have 15 Tracks/Faders.

Now say that I only want to see some of those Faders, say, 5…or 3…or 8 of them.

Can this be done only by Groups?

How do I make that happen?

Dan

It can be done, but not with groups. Do it with Memory Locations. I suggest cruising youtube for some tutorials on using memory locations to show/hide tracks. Its a bit complicated to try to explain here(and seeing beats reading, any day)

Dave,

Thank you very much for this, but I goofed. I asked, "Let's say that I have 15 Tracks/Faders…" and I meant to only use the word Faders.

Let me start once again:

Let's say that I have 15 Faders, in the MIX Window.

In the MIX Window—say that I only want to see some of those Faders, say, 5…or 3…or 8 of them.

Can this be done?

Any tracks you hide will be hidden in the mix window AND edit window. There's no way I know of to hide in one window only.

Dave,

Thank you, sir!

IT CAN BE DONE! EASILY!

Here's is a 1 minute video showing how. Try this, then Go to the Mix Window and see None or as many Faders as you desire.

That's right.
Show/hide buttons in the track list affects both mix and edit windows.

Memory Locations is the way to go because you have a dedicated key command for each set of faders.

But this can also be done with groups. Just make groups for each set of faders you want to see, then right-click on the group and select "show only tracks in group."

Or control-click on a group for the same result.
