I Downloaded and Installed Digi 002 and 003 Drivers, fresh, yesterday…and today the crashes still happen.

Default Re: Pro Tools 10.3.8 Driver/DIGI 002 Finale 2012 problem

Problem Solved!!!

This took me a while to Troubleshoot this as it was happening in a spot I wasn't looking, since everything worked with the DIGI 002 disconnected.

After disconnecting the DIGI 002 one more time, and booting up Finale 2012 successfully, I noticed, that somehow, Finale 2012 had switched my Audio Set Up to Display Audio…I have a Cinema Display.

So, in Finale 2012 it looked like this:

Device Set Up > Audio Set Up > Source/Output > Cinema Display.

I chose DIDI 002 and shut down Finale 2012. I Shut Down my computer, reconnected and turned ON the DIGI 002, Started the computer, booted up Finale 2012—and—Voile!!—Finale 2012 ran normally.

Now…I purchased my Power Mac and Cinema Display in 2011 and directly began using Finale 2011—with the DIGI 002, and everything worked great.

Shortly after that I Upgraded to Finale 2012—again—everything worked great with the DIGI 002…and it continued to do so—until—I Upgraded to Pro Tools 10.3.8.AND Finale 2014, at the same time.

Not being able to believe this—Finale 2012 itself switched my Audio Set Up to Display Audio. I can't possibly see how that could happen.

In summary—this has got to be Finale's fault.

Anyway—all my programs work normally now.

Thank you everyone for your time, patience, understanding, and help.

Dan
