First post...my microphone works, but can't locate keyboard hardware
I have used my Protools SE Vocal Studio to record some vocals. I tried hooking up a midi keyboard using the USB cable that came with my mic, but keep getting the "Unable to locate hardware..." error message. The device installs on my computer when I plug in the cable. I have tried plugging it in with the software not running, have tried all the USB ports on my laptop, but nothing works. Keep getting the same message. Do I need a separate audio interface in order to connect a MIDI keyboard to the computer? I have a Gateway NV77H, Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, 4 GB RAM, 64 bit operating system. Thanks.
