Default 8.0.3 Bug - mouse 'slipping'

Especially when editing automation.

Mouse sticks and slips all over the place. Anyone else experience this?

Mac Pro OS 10.5.7
Never did this in 8.0.1

VERY frustrating

YES! This is really bugging me, and it needs to be fixed.

When adding an automation point with the mouse, you have to leave the mouse alone for a second or so after making the mouse click, or else the automation point gets dragged along with your mouse move, as if you were holding the mouse button down (like a click and drag).

When using the pointer tool, after making a new automation point, if you make a quick move vertically, the entire automation line gets moved. If you make a quick move horizontally, the automation point doesn't go on the line where you intended it to be.

I'm on Snow Leopard with 8.0.3

I get mouse glitches also, but not real bad. It seems to me PT can't keep up with the OS again.

I have just incorporated it into my workflow. Don't do this while trying to do that.

I hope PT can someday catch up to the rest of the world.

Glad some other folks can commiserate. I've been a heavy PT user since version 5 and this has been the worst update ever.

I keep "mis-clicking" everywhere. Completely slows down my workflow. This is a MAJOR BUG for me.

Is there any way to go back to 8.0.1?

Yes YEs YEs!!... ITs not just automation.
IT happens all over the place.
THis bug has often showed up after a new update and then fixed with the next update. However its still lurking at this point.

It's amazing that it doesn't screw with people more. I am flying around the windows and the system just cant keep up.
For me it happens most frequently when i select a POINT in the timeline, and then AFTER i click and move my mouse... Pro Tools still acts as if Im still holding down the mouse click and creates a timeline SELECTION that completely kills my intended action.
SO this same bug, also will create accidental edits because Pro tools thinks I haven't released the clicker when I select a region of audi and then move the mouse to do something else. It is a common bug that comes and goes with pro tools.
A real workflow disaster!

There is! but i'm on 8.0.1 and its there as well.

I often click in the timeline to start the track at that point and PT thinks i want to make a selection on the timeline, so i find i have to be a bit slower and more positive with my mouse clicks.

FYI - I use a roller mouse pro. Zero issues. Perhaps you're all using the same mouse? A driver issue?

Hope that helps a bit.

I thought it was just my old G5... but editing midi is a pain. Notes fly all over the place.

I use a Kensington Orbit trackball
