PT LE 8.0.3 installation failure, 002 Rack

Dear Avid-people,

Usually I would have..., no: I tried to approach you via phone or mail directly, but I had to learn that you want me to pay for any support for a product I bought quite exactly one year ago.
Oh well.

(Does that fit European warranty rights? Don't think so.)

Last year I upgraded from PT LE 7.3 to 8.0.3.
No problems, perfect working (after I had learnt how to uninstall former PT 7.3 ASIO stuff) as I had been used to for the years of PT7. .
Now after I got a system HD crash and bought a new one, I did all those re-installing work.
But somehow the PT LE 8.0.3 DVD won't do.

My system is XP Professional, SP3, Intel, 2GB RAM, 2,4 GHz, 1 system disk, 1 data disk, no internet connection, no IE8 etc.

After connecting FW, switching on Digi 002 R, then the comp and clicking the DVD, I see the installation menu of it, but when I click Installing PT, a pop-up comes up: "Application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000006 blah blah"

Yes, I performed a search (rather many ones for three days) about it in the net, also here.
And, yes, I re-installed Windows Installer and SP3 and everything.
I tried to make a copy of the DVD (to try the installation from a HD), but somehow it didn't work.
I can walk through the DVD menu perfectly as before (tried to install Torq LE to test a DVD damage, but that seems possible).

Now I actually would want Avid to send me a link to download PT LE Win 8.0.3 for free, as I assume this would solve the problem.
Since I'm not going to pay 36 EUR for such question, I'm asking here.

If someone has another thought what reason there could be, please tell me!

Register the purchase and create a MyAvid account. Once you have done that, your products should appear in the account and will include links to download. Also, remember that this is a "users" conference, so don't expect Avid to be too fast on replies here.

Yeah there seems to be some problems with PT8 and the DVD installer discs that shipped. Mine didn't work either.
Looks like you have it all going now congrats
