samrisio,

Just to be sure, you're using the yamaha to control a sound in Sampletank & to control a piano sound in the Roland. You have the audio out of the Roland into an Mbox/002r? Are you clipping on the piano track? Make sure the Sampletank sound volume is turned up, default is 64, try 100 or so.

Scott.

Let's just get Sampletank working for now, don't worry about the Roland yet.

Load a sound into Sampletank Channel 1, on the midi channel set the input to All & the output to Channel 1 of Sampletank. Record enable the midi track. Bring up the volume on the aux track with Sampletank on it up to 0.0. You should be hearing something...

On the midi menu in ProTools do you have midi thru checked?

Make sure your midi 2x2 is selectable as an input on the midi track. Other than that check your connection to the 2x2, midi cables, USB cable. If all that is ok then I'm as stumped as you.
