I asked because by now all my projects that were started on FCP7 have been completed, and none of my clients are using it anymore. Most went to Premiere, a few went to FCX, unfortunately.

During searching try to check "Find By Name" and also check "Match Format" ONLY. It often works. I think this bug happened because the information about duration of files is incorrect. So when "Match Duration" box is unchecked Pro Tools will able to find all missed files.

Hey, all. I've been going back and forth with an editor doing AAF exports for the first time. Of course, he had nested everything, but after we got that sorted he was eventually able to send me an AAF that did contain all the proper clips (file names were intact, BTW). BUT, while his added music tracks are rock solid, the dialogue tracks move in and out of sync. It's not drift, but different sections will be off by a specific amount, always late. I ran into this once before, years ago, but can't remember what the cause was. I suspect it has something to do with how he's implementing ramp-ups and crossfades, but can't be sure. Does this symptom sound familiar to anybody?

Non-48k AIFF or wav audio clips? Are they doing clip fades or fades using keyframes?

All the dialogue files have video file extensions, so it's probably safe to assume they originated at 48. All the fades show up as Pro Tools fades. There is some static clip gain, but no volume automation. I'm not sure what that means in terms of the process within Premiere.

Did they modify frame rates in PP?

Unknown on all, but thanks for the leads. I'll ask him.

And do they have any sort of playback speed processed running, like slowmo clips etc, or are using any Audiosuite etc plugins on the audio?

Definitely some slow-mo segments in the video. Can slow-mo in PP cause audio displacement, even if it plays back at the proper speed?
