CoreAudio, Logic, and Digital Outs

Hi all, I'm getting started on a mix job where the midi instruments were mapped in Logic.

Before OMFing into PT, I'm trying to print these Logic instruments, but I'm having a helluva time trying to get the audio out of the 003 SPDIF outs to my Mytek DAC to my outboard gear. This is no problem in PT, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong in Logic.

The instrument's output is 17/18 (which whould be spdif). The "mirror" analog outs to 17/18 in CoreAudio is off. Any ideas as to why I can't get audio out? The only way I can do this is by mirroring the analog outs and setting the instrument's output to 1/2, but I don't want to do this if possible...any suggestions would be great!

Is there a reason you're doing an outboard print, rather then just bouncing them as tracks in Logic and including them in the OMF?

yea, VI i'm using doesn't have RTAS available, so i wanted to send the information out to my outboard comps before making an audio file.

is there a way to do this with coreaudio and the digital outs?
