Default 12.8 for vanilla : major disappointment.

12. 8, for vanilla, is only a 12.7.2. Bug fixes. A lot. Many, Many, Many. How did Avid get out 12.7 with so many bugs? It's crazy. But at least there has been work from this point of view. Normal, but we will not complain about this.

In any case, in general, major disappointment. Ha yes, a shortcut to the Universe window! Wow!

And things in the cloud ....

I would also like things on earth, please.

I very much hope that the MIDI development, as planned in 2017, so within the next 6 months, is going to be valid.

In the meantime, let's move on. As the music ...

I know. If they are upgrading HD to include Atmos and 3D, then they could at last upgrade vanilla to LCR, 4.0 and 5.1.

Kind of a bummer on this one. Hopefully it fixes more bugs than it introduces.

6 months wait for......pretty much nothing. The last 12 months have been a joke and a complete ripoff. Bad move Avid.

Recoding is my guess. They hired people new that were not familiar with the code at all and when creating enhancements, possibly stepped into creating more problems. G

I'm completely happy with his release, it's a major step forward for post workflows and I couldn't be more excited to use it now that it has finally been released. HD users have had comparatively little new features in prior releases, so it's great to see the HD community getting some attention. It seems like Avid have finally started putting pen to paper to work alongside production houses and their feature requests. Which is amazing, awesome work.

In the meantime, it's time to get stuck in and re-work my atmos workflow and get some work done!

It would have been nice to include heat or something like that. I will probably not pay for updates for a while if Avid is turning to the Insurance company model of collecting money and providing no benefit. Sorry bug fixes while critical, are not something you should have to continually pay for. Heck Microsoft just fixed a major flaw in Windows XP.

Seems people want trinkets and new features rather than bug fixes. I will take stability over new features any day. The list of bug fixes are extensive and it seems the midi engine was re-written. Time is money and stability is most important.

With so many bug fixes and new midi engine, a clean wipe and full install is the only way to go imho.

Honestly, Avid should make ONE version of PT already.

Nothing in the release notes says there is a new midi engine.
