Help!

I don't understand how these things happen, I been recording a lot more lately and yesterday I recorded and it all went good, later that night how ever I tried to, so I plugs in the M-box thing and clicked on pro tools, I waited for 5 mins befor it loaded up and brought me to the main screen, and even when I was on the main screen it wouldn't hardly let me do anything. seems like there a 3 or 5 minute delay time on everything!

I tried cleaning out my computer, restarting, defragging, etc. but it seems my pro tools is dead, nothing else on my computer is acting slow or funny, only pro tools and this has never happened befor.

Can someone help me out please. (I'm not super knowledgeable about this program so please use layman terms if possible)
