Default Sample Rates, Pro Tools Express

Hey guys, I just bought a new mic (XLR) plugged it into my M-Audio interface and I'm using Pro Tools Express. When I recorded a song it sped it up and made a 3min song into 12seconds, I think it has something to do with the sample rate but I don't really understand that stuff. When I record it takes forever to get through one bar, sometimes it flows but then it slows down. Running on windows.
Help would be appreciated.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaWB...ature=youtu.be
