Virtual Katy Help - Exporting Change Notes

Hello all,
I am new to using Virtual Katy and would appreciate any help you could provide. I am in a animation based work flow, we are currently piecing together a animatic/board-o-matic for a 2 hour feature. Due to the number of boards and edits we can no longer use EDL's to generate a change list in Virtual Katy. VK support has told me to start using Change Notes instead. But every Change Note the Avid guys produce crashes VK on import.

VK allows me to select the change note, then asks me to set the source hour. After selecting 1 as the source hour and hitting ok, VK crashes. My gut feeling on this is that we aren't exporting a change note using the proper settings. I have sent the CN in question to VK and they confirmed the same result. They have provided me with a screen shot (provided by one of their users) of an Avid/Film Scribe export window to provide to the editors, but our version of Avid/Film Scribe appears to be different and there are different and more options available in our export window. VK support just tells me that a Change Note should work and that they don't know anymore specifics about exporting from an Avid.

Can anyone out there tell me specific settings that your editors use for producing a change note using Film Scribe from an Avid? Your help is very appreciated.

Our current software versions of everything in the chain:
Avid Media Composer v5.5.3.1 on Windows 7
Film Scribe v27.5.3
Virtual Katy Premium v3.0.2
Pro Tools v8.0.1cs1 on Mac OSX 10.5.8.

apart from what I wrote in my PM you could work around it by asking the editor to split the sequence before outputting the EDL so they stay within the 999 events limitation of CMX EDLs.
