Audio drivers in Windows XP?
Hi, I'm from the Mac side of the LE forum. Can anyone tell me where standard audio drivers are found in Windows XP? I'm trying to find them on my wifes' computer and because I normally run PT on a Mac I'm clueless. I haven't installed PT on this machine. Any help would be great.

Re: Audio drivers in Windows XP?
Maybe if you describe what you are trying to do, someone here can help. Typically, audio drivers are installed automatically. If you are trying to prep for installation of PT, the required drivers are on the install disc. Its important to follow the install procedure in the "getting started guide" which tells you to ignore the WIndows popup thatsays "New Hardware found" and asks if you want it to install software/drivers automatically.

Re: Audio drivers in Windows XP?
You are talking about audio drivers for digidesign hardware, right? If so, which hardware?
If you're not going to install PT (which, as mentioned, installs the drivers by default now), the the standalone audio drivers, and instructions on how to use them can be downloaded here.

Re: Audio drivers in Windows XP?
Thanks, I figured out the problem......the machines' sound card software wasn't installed since the hard drive was replaced a year ago. File under duh.
