I'm switching from Pro Tools HD to Reaper right now. I'm still finishing current projects in Pro Tools, but starting the new ones in Reaper. I let myself be fooled with the low price tag of Reaper for some time. I learned how to use Reaper recently because I needed an LTC reader, which Reaper has built in. I discovered that it has fantastic automation features allowing mixing with scenes / snapshots easier than I do it Pro Tools with Preview / Capture functions. And Render queue is such a time saver!

I might be off base here but my take on hellfires op was that the DUC is not an Avid corp website and it is therefore, a futile exercise to post here about quitting the PT train for something else and was suggesting another place to voice your displeasure that could actually be heard by Avid. The DUC is really for users to help each other to my mind, also.
